Das Hotel „Polydoros“ verfügt über ein geräumiges Studio-Appartement und 6 Zweizimmer-Appartements, die bis zu fünf Gäste beherbergen können. Es ist der ideale Ort für einen angenehmen und entspannten Familienurlaub, mit gepflegtem Garten und zahlreichen Möglichkeiten, die wunderschönen Strände zu erkunden und die Landschaft von Kreta mit langen Spaziergängen über Paleochora kennen zu lernen.

Unsere kleine Geschichte
Das Hotel Polydoros öffnete seine Tore 1986 unter der Leitung von Panagiotis und Monika Markoulaki. Der Sohn eines Priesters und eine Balletttänzerin an der Wiener Oper ließen sich in Paleochora nieder und errichteten eines der ersten Hotels dieser Region. Dies war der Wunsch des Vaters von Panagiotis, der an die Zukunft Griechenlands und insbesondere an die touristische Zukunft von Kreta glaubte. Das Hotel wurde ihm zu Ehren «Polydoros» benannt, da er leider verstarb, noch bevor es fertig gestellt werden konnte.
Eine 25jährige Tradition in einer gastfreundlichen Umgebung und der ausgezeichnete Service des Hotels Polydoros werden heute von der nächsten Generation fortgesetzt, den Geschwistern Polydoros und Sofia Markoulaki. Nach Abschluss ihrer Hotelfachstudien, im Management und Marketing, in London und Wien, und gewappnet durch eine 10jährige Berufserfahrung im Management von 5-Sterne-Hotels des Auslands, kehrten die Geschwister nach Chania und Paleochora zurück, um das Familienunternehmen mit Elan und Sorgfalt zu übernehmen.

The apartment is in the very center of beautiful treasure Paleochora and therefore close to all its bars and restaurants. A must during the stay was the wine tasting an event one must not miss. The apartment is beautiful and from the spacious terrace you enjoy a spectacular view to the beach and castle and over the rooftops of Paleochora.

We spent two wonderful weeks at Sofia. Sofia is a great host who is always available to help with problems and tips. The accommodation is very stylish and always clean. On the roof terrace you have a great view over Paleochora. A wine tasting in the in-house wine bar was one of the highlights of our holiday.

The hotel is located in a perfect location, 2 minutes by feet from the bars and restaurants of Palaiochora with a nice wine bar at the ground floor. The room was perfect, very clean, very stylish with a very comfortable bed!! Sofia at last was a great hostess! I highly recommend this place!
